Lead Developer / Technical Architect – (£600 – £700pd) NodeJS / React – 6 Months – Greenfield Project – Outside IR35! – Watford with Remote Working
Overview:
A leading player in the Digital Marketing and Software Development industry are looking for a strong Lead Developer / Technical Architect to join their growing team in Watford.
The Solution Architect is responsible for the architecture, design, and delivery of cohesive technical solutions and will be primarily responsible for driving the architecture of a new Greenfield platform, which is built from ground up in AWS.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Interpret business needs and requirements and design/develop technical solutions to deliver the desired business capabilities.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads and Engineers to architect and design technical solutions that are aligned with enterprise technology standards and strategy, while also working to help develop and grow those standards and roadmaps.
• Works across multiple systems/solutions to ensure their consistency and alignment, as well as to determine how multiple systems/solutions can work together to serve a particular line of business and/or to ensure that a solution works across lines of business.
• Leverage experience and expertise across a wide variety of technology domains, including infrastructure, data management, security, systems integration, and application development, with a recent emphasis on technologies, such as AWS, NodeJS, ReactJS, Postgres, NoSQL, and Kafka along with experience in building reactive and cloud-native solution architectures.
• Employ and provide guidance on system/solution develop processes, agile methodologies, DevOps principles and practices, and quality engineering best practices.
• Exercise concepts and best practices for designing system reliability/resilience, performance/scalability and maintainability/operability.
• Support the Architecture Advisory forum to ensure wider architecture peer group input is sought for robust design and mentoring senior engineers in formulating RFC / ADRs
• Conduct proof of concept exercises for emerging solutions and prove out potential enhancements to the design.
• Ensure designs are implemented with target architecture and key design decisions are clearly communicated to leadership and all key stakeholders.
Technical Requirements:
• Extensive relevant work experience in designing and implementing technical solutions to deliver business capabilities.
• Experience as a Solutions Architect in large scale transformation programme delivering reactive and cloud-native architectures in high throughput and low latency environments.
• Ability to document business processes and system architectures.
• Experience with programming languages like functional – TypeScript and/or Object-Oriented languages like C#, Golang
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases technologies.
• Experience with message-oriented middleware like AMQP, Kafka with bonus points for experience with AWS Kinesis, MSK, SQS et el.
• Knowledge of and exposure to AWS platform services, including serverless solutions.
