A leading provider of Education Technology are looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong experience of implementing Intranet solutions for large/ complex global organisations. The successful candidate must have recent experience of Intranet Solution Implementations utilizing Office 365 and Sharepoint.

The challenge at hand is to project manage the implementation the new intranet. This includes creating and delivering the project plan, ensuring effective design, systems integration, governance model, content management practices, change management, stakeholder engagement and high employee adoption.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Review the intranet strategy to ensure it provides and robust and effective roadmap.
  • Use the requirements gathering and user journey research to create a detailed project plan, working closely with the supplier, technical teams, and stakeholders.
  • Map dependencies and risks and identify mitigations.
  • Plan and manage stakeholder engagement, ensuring the supplier and internal stakeholders deliver activities to time and budget and to realise the benefits outlined in the business case.
  • Define how people data will be utilised (linking between SAP Success Factors or Active Directory and the Intranet) to achieve audience targeting and user personalisation.
  • Work with the supplier and site owners to create and implement a content migration plan.
  • Devise a strategy for integration with Microsoft 365 and other systems, helping create a seamless employee experience and encouraging more use of 365 applications.
  • Implement an effective governance structure, working with leaders in all business areas and regions to establish a network of site owners and editors, and clearly define roles and responsibilities between comms teams, technology teams, and others.
  • Create a change management plan to ensure smooth implementation and high adoption.
  • Work with the supplier to train and support a global network of site owners and editors to ensure all sites are managed consistently, with high quality content for maximum impact, and ensure an ongoing training provision is in place.
  • Ensure Information Governance and Security policies and processes are adhered to.
  • Implement robust procedures for maintaining quality metadata and ensuring a highly accurate and effective search function.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • A recognised project management qualification.
  • Significant experience of successfully implementing intranet solutions for large and complex global organisations (must have).
  • In-depth knowledge of Office 365, including advanced SharePoint (must have).
  • Highly successful senior stakeholder management and influencing.
  • An understanding of internal communication practices and how intranets fit into the internal communication channels mix.
  • Advanced knowledge of using research and metrics to enhance the user experience and increase engagement with content.
  • Change management experience, and proof of achieving high employee adoption of new intranets.
  • Experience of devising and conducting intranet user training.
  • A clear understanding of information risks and security in relation to intranet technology, people data and content management.

Rate & Duration:

  • £500 – £550pd Outside IR35
  • 6-12 Months
  • Fully Remote (occasional trips to the office)
