My client, a global IT consultancy is looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage, large-scale BMS implementation projects in the UK and EMEA. Working across multiple sites simultaneously, co-ordinating with vendors, clients, general contractors and other departments.
The role will be hybrid working, based in London and remote working/ travel across various UK and European sites as required.
Role:
- Manage projects to coordinate the timely delivery of design, installation and commissioning.
- Work with the BMS/EMS SMEs to understand the strategy and objectives.
- Specific duties include keeping abreast of the progress of the project team, including construction, cabling contractors, electricians, engineers.
- In parallel with the BMS/EMS Product Specialist, review the design and installation, work with Technical Designers to coordinate the designs and resolve any issues.
- Experience and knowledge of applying budgetary principles to vendor contracts, invoicing, PO’s. Manage project budgets appropriately throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Facilitate efficient communication across all levels of project(s) to ensure consistency in reaching the project/programme goals, and to help in the recognition of any potential opportunities, risks or complications.
- Responsible for weekly reporting and escalation any issues to the senior management during the lifecycle of the project and advise of any changes through regular project reviews. Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
- Manage change requests throughout each phase of the project.
- Ensure that commissioning and completion certificates are signed and provided.
- Ensure that all applicable documentation is provided in a suitable format at the time of handover from the vendors.
Requirements
- Project management experience within the construction industry specifically for BMS/EMS and control systems.
- Must be proactive, reliable and effective in workforce/project management across simultaneous projects.
- Must have experience with design, installation and commissioning BMS/EMS systems.
- Significant experience in managing budgets.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external to the company.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and autonomy.
- Ability to work within structured business processes and regulated procedures.
- Ability to cope successfully under pressure and with shifting priorities.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; able to maintain and manipulate data.
- Ability to travel across the UK and across Europe.
- Valid CSCS card or IOSH certified an advantage.
- Knowledge of WebCTRL and Eaton Foreseer an advantage.
- Fluent in Spanish or German would be highly desirable
