Performance Tester – Contract – 3 Months – Hybrid – Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with a leading organisation who are seeking a Performance Tester to support in testing the website’s stock service to ensure that it is performing optimally under varying levels of user load.

The successful Performance Tester will have experience in back-end performance testing in enterprise-level environments.

This is a hybrid role, with one mandatory day per week onsite in Leicester. This will be every Monday.

Key responsibilities for the Performance Tester:

• Develop, execute, and maintain performance test plans, models, scripts and scenarios with their monitored KPIs as required
• Identify risks and create appropriate load test coverage to validate new features
• Perform stability, stress, reliability and capacity tests of the system and its components
• Writing scripts to create load scenarios and execute test cases in an automated fashion

Essential skills & experience:

• Experience of back-end performance testing, ideally within an enterprise level environment
• Knowledge and experience of NeoLoad – NeoLoad as-code
• Experience with Microservice architecture
• Experience with API load testing
• Experience in performance test results analysis and ability to concisely communicate information to Management
• Experience working in a dynamic, agile working environment
• Experience working within e-commerce (desirable)
• Experience with Azure DevOps (desirable)

Role details:

• Duration: 3 months initial, scope to extend
• IR35 status: Outside IR35 – You will also be expected to complete a QDOS assessment
• Rate: £400 – £440 paid to limited company
• Location: Remote based with 1 day per week on site (Leicester)
