RC Fornax are looking for an experienced IVVQ manager with a minimum of 10 years’ experience of managing test and qualification engineering teams through complex requirements/regulatory and environmental compliance test campaigns.

The manager is expected to have good communication and personal skills that reflect a one team collaborative approach that fosters openness and supportive attitudes at all levels, it is expected that the IVVQ manager would have extensive systems engineering experience with the systems lifecycle management processes and a full understanding of the gate reviews required to produce evidence of compliance to the entry/exit criteria. The role will work alongside the IVVQ WPM and will have reporting lines into the Programme SEM.

   Active UK Security Clearance is Required for this Role.

Based 3 days per week on site in Crawley, the rest working remotely. Rate is negotiable.

Key tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Responsible for managing hands on the availability of reference systems, deliverable systems and subsystems and the management of their build status/ BoMs/ cables/ ancillaries PSU’s cable management and the customer facing presentability of the test environment (racks, cable drums, safety signage, and area cleanliness).
  2. Responsible for Lab Management of test labs and associated test benches etc.
  3. Attendance at the Programme daily morning team meetings and the engineering weekly meetings as well as running daily IVVQ meetings (in conjunction with the WPM) with the team for tasking clarity and tracking to completion
  4. Responsible for ensuring management of identified hardware/software faults found in the IVVQ activity and the clear identification and resolution recommendation (in collaboration with the SEM, PDA’s, SWEM, QAM, etc) in the most efficient and time orientated manor, including internal and external contract or sub-contract interfaces
  5. Responsible for LRU/Unit/sub-system and system hardware testing in accordance with the engineering test procedures/specification documents
  6. Responsible for the collation and production of test evidence/reports required in accordance with Chorus 2.0 company processes and best practice
  7. Responsibility for test equipment availability/ serviceability (calibration) Keysight test equipment hire and off hire schedules and budget
  8. Accountable for high quality working practices such as due care for staff wellbeing human factors/ customer hardware/ safe working environments/ maintenance/ and problem resolution
  9. Support the WPM with the production of the IVVQ test campaign schedules, including resource and skills identification
  10. Support the WPM with task delegation, team progress meetings, KPI collation and reporting, individual empowerment and progression
